President & Founder
Dana Wyant
My name is Dana, and I am President and Founder of Walk to Remember, Inc. The idea grew from a parent support group , I co-faciliate, helping those who have suffered the loss of a baby. The closest memorial event of this kind is more than 2 hours away. I wanted to bring something closer to the Fort Wayne area. My husband, Ken, and I raised 3 sons, and have been blessed with 4 grandchildren. We have felt the pain of loss when our son and daughter-in-law experienced two pregnancy losses. I am thankful they had this community to lean on in their time of need.
Vice-President & Donations
Kelli Bunn
My name is Kelli, and I became involved with Walk to Remember in April of 2016 after my husband, Zach, and I lost our daughter, Delaney at 39 weeks stillborn on December 30, 2015. Dana was one of our caregivers while in the hospital, and once I learned of what she was doing within the loss community, I felt called to honor our daughter in this meaningful way. It brings me peace to walk with others in their grief, to create bonds within the infant loss community, and to give my daughter's life purpose.
Treasurer
Zach Bunn
My name is Zach, and I joined Walk to Remember, Inc. in 2016 after my wife, Kelli, and I lost our daughter, Delaney. I find purpose in helping others through the walk during such difficult times.
Secretary
Starrae Musser
My name is Starrae’ and I became involved with Walk to Remember, Inc. in 2021 after losing our twin sons on August 14, 2020. My husband and I lost our twin sons Emmett, born still, and Beckett, born breathing, at 22 weeks and 3 days! We knew this was a way to be able to help others and to let others know about our sons. Being involved in Walk to Remember, Inc. helped me grieve after losing our twins. When I joined this organization, I felt refreshed knowing that we continue to help families in this so called club that no one wants to be part of!
Committee Member
Sarah Ann Hidy
My name is Sarah Ann, and I have been involved with WtR from day one. I have served in several roles, but most recently as a Board Member. In my 35 years of being a Labor and Delivery nurse, I have been there for families experiencing fetal and infant loss. My husband, John, and I have been married for 31 years. We have 2 grown sons, and a pampered pup, Layla.
Committee Member
Daniel Musser
My name is Daniel Musser. I am the husband of Starrae Musser and the father of Emmett, Beckett, and Pruett Musser. Our children now watch us from up in heaven. Our first Walk to Remember was in October 2020; Right after the passing of our twin boys, Emmett and Beckett on August 14, 2020. Starrae and I experienced the passing of Pruett on July 15, 2021. This was the same year we joined the planning committee. This organization is important to me, because it gives Starrae and I a way to honor and remember our children, with a community that knows the pain of infant loss. This organization also help provide resources like Cuddle Cots to area hospitals. This is particularly important to me because our twins spent their first and only night with us in a cuddle cot.
Committee Member
Paula VanLue
My name is Paula, and I have been involved with WtR for almost 4 years. I was introduced to the organization after a co-worker learned my husband, Aaron, and I had a beautiful daughter, Delaney, born silent on June 23, 2002. At the time of our loss, it was very hard to find resources, and I love that WtR looks after families and gives people understanding that you are never alone. My role in our organization is to communicate the design, layout, ordering, and receiving of our annual t-shirts. "How very quietly you tiptoed into our world, silently, only for a moment you stayed. But, what an imprint your footprints have left on our hearts."
